I wrapped the book up with a baby shirt featuring a horseshoe. I thought it would soften the news if David was assured that his baby would be a Colts fan--not all babies born in Massachusetts have to love Tom Brady. When he opened the bag, I am not sure which he laughed harder at. He was certainly not surprised but the reaction was very positive, of course.
Once giving him the rundown on how far along I would be at Jeff's wedding (4 months), Brandy's wedding (7 months), and the due date (Nov. 8), David, being who he is, was right down to business asking about when we can open a 529 account, when we would schedule a baptism (We have decided to talk to Fr. Stan, the officient of our wedding, in a few months to see about scheduling one in Indiana around Christmas for the convenience of our families. I'm sure this was your first concern as well, but this is how David thinks), and that we need to get a will made out before the baby is born. I'm sure that before the baby even moves for the first time, David will have planned out his graduation annoucements--so stay tuned.
