House hunting

With the exception of this weekend, our week hasn't been full of much excitement. It has been filled with lots of house-hunting though. The market may be a buyer's market, but we are close to pulling our hair out with the lack of options available. We've seen several houses in the $250s in Salem that look close to being condemned, which just leaves our inner Hoosiers gasping for breath at the insanity of the prices. We absolutely love Salem, but you have to pay to live here. We are currently in an offer queue for a property in Beverly though. It does make us nervous to think about crossing the bridge from Salem to Beverly, but that is better than the nervousness we had about falling through floorboards in some of the Salem properties.

This weekend we kept busy with a La Leche League picnic at the Salem Willows and a fabulous "yellow" party thrown by our friends Megan and Geoff, where we enjoyed wearing, eating, and drinking yellow.

Megan was finally able to capture Avonlea Jane's "nasty lion face" on camera!
