Avonlea Jane is sad to put away the blocks as we make our way to a new exhibit about the Chinese silk roads and another new exhibit of Native American art.

Storytime at the PEM
This week is school vacation week, so there are many things for little ones to do in Salem. Today we went to storytime at the Peabody Essex Museum. They had an "artful tales" program where the storyteller was an artist who drew the story while he told it. Avonlea Jane, while she didn't have the patience to sit through the entire story, did enjoy the majority of it.

After the story, Avonlea Jane and her nine-month-old friend Abby went into the children's exploration gallery to play with blocks.
