Will's Carnival

Our Christmas baby didn't get much fanfare for his first birthday, so we decided to celebrate his half birthday with a carnival.

Our ring master and strong man are ready for the party to start.

We had five games, and kids earned two tickets for playing each one. Their tickets could then be cashed in at the prize booth for prizes costing from 0 to 5 tickets each.

Some of the predictions for Will ranged from being a future quarterback in the NFL, to being in the Peace Corps, to preparing to propose to his girlfriend, to starting his masters in engineering.

The Bucket Challenge and The Ring Toss

Will and Sydney prepare to go fishing.

Our bubble magician impresses Karen, who was our face painter for the day.

Jack, the strong

Will did manage to knock them all down, just not by tossing the ball.

Playing Hullabaloo, our version of a carnival Cake Walk

We had a great turn out with forty party-goers.

Opening presents

We were so proud of our Big Top banners and were crossing our fingers for it to withstand the wind on the day of the party. Many of decorations couldn't go up due to the weather, but that didn't stop anyone from having a good time.

Our boy was thoroughly celebrated and ready for nap with Mommy once everyone went home.
