For our stay in Toronto, we decided to rent a townhome from vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner), something we highly recommend. We wind up paying the same amount as a hotel room, except we have a full kitchen at our disposal and plenty of room to spread out. Having a separate room from the kids also means we don't have to go to sleep at 8:30. When we arrived at the rental and the owner showed us around, Avonlea Jane quickly made herself at home.
Our rental was a short walk to Toronto's Greek Town.
Someone just heard we were going to the park.
We were two blocks from a giant park with a great kids' area complete with a wading pool and toys galore.
While the kids were happy to be so close to the park, we were glad we wouldn't need to eat dinner out every night thanks to fully-stocked kitchen.
