After a short wait, Michaela was able to transfer from Salem High School to a regional school in Beverly with a much more individualized curriculum. That gave us an excuse to take a second first day of school photo. So far, she's really been enjoying the new school and the way the classes are run. When David asked, she wasn't even able to say who her favorite teacher or what her favorite class was, because they were all equally good.
One day after picking up Michaela from school, we headed north to Russell Orchard in Ipswich.

Will liked the idea of feeding the animals more than the reality of it. When a chicken came up to Avonlea Jane, and she ran hysterically screaming away, I laughed about how all my kids were such Town Mice. I changed my tune when I nearly launched myself over a picnic table to escape a homicidal, wing-flapping goose posse, while shrieking at Michaela to save the children.

The following weekend, we loaded up the car and headed to the Boston Museum of Science.
