Midnight, New Year's Eve or not, is too late for our little ones, so we chose a country--Italy--and counted down until their midnight. Italy happened to ring in the New Year at dinner time, so we made sure to have a table of Italian food with which to celebrate.
Banging pots and pans
Avonlea Jane wrote a letter with Granny to ask Winnie the Pooh and Piglet to come to dinner on New Year's Eve. She chose to mail it five minutes before dinner so she got Will and Mommy instead. Thankfully, Will has a Pooh costume. Mommy needed to get a bit creative.
