The kids were super excited for our ferry trip over to Martha's Vineyard for the day. This was a first-time trip for all of us.
We had talked up the idea of going to see all of the Gingerbread houses and the Flying Horses in Oak Bluffs, America's oldest carousel. Will was so excited to reach for the brass ring. Unfortunately, when we got off the ferry, we found out that the carousel was closed for the day, leading to much woe for the morning.

We went to Edgartown primarily for William. In the arts section of the newspaper, he'd seen an advertisement for an exhibition at the gallery seen behind him. They were currently showing a collection with quite a few horse paintings. The manager there was thrilled to meet such a young art fan.
