Canobie Lake

Other than camping, which we all wish we'd gotten to do even more of, our big summer to-do the kids insisted on was going to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire.

One of our kids may have bonked into a wall in the maze.

Daddy doesn't allow spinning, so Avonlea Jane was in my cup. It was fun . . . for the first minute. Now, Mommy may not allow spinning either.

Last year, Will had to ride with Avonlea Jane on many of the kid rides or wasn't tall enough to do many, but this year, he was able to do a lot more.

We were so soaked from the rain in the park, that we decided to do a raft ride. Avonlea Jane was hesitant, but we promised she'd like it. Apparently, we lied; both kids were crying after the big splash.

Avonlea Jane got us back, though, as both David and I had to take her on nausea-inducing rides she loved but we hated. Still, we had a great day.
