Birth Center update

Just to let you all know, this morning the Northeast Hospital Board of Trustees met for the final vote about the North Shore Birth Center. The bad news is that in the future all mothers have to consent to fetal monitoring (which may unfortunately revoke the NSBC status in the American Ass. of Birth Centers and may lead to unnecessary medical interventions and raise the transfer rate), but the great news is that the NSBC will remain open.
