It is a sad time for Cole family right now, as Avonlea Jane's great-grandfather, Pawpaw, passed away this week from terminal cancer. While we are grieving the loss of such a humorous, outspoken, and high-spirited grandfather, we are comforted by our wonderful memories. In this last year alone, Pawpaw celebrated his fiftieth wedding anniversary, the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary of one of his sons, and the births of two great-granddaughters. Our family has been remarkably blessed, and we are so fortunate that we were able to travel to Indiana so that he could meet Avonlea Jane.
