Avonlea Jane turned five months old on Friday. She is now up to 14 lbs., 10 oz. Soon, she'll weigh more than Mabel. Looking at newborn photos of her, we can't believe how much bigger she is or how much lighter her hair is.
Blog updates have been sporadic because free-time hasn't been easy to find. I am a few weeks away from graduation, and all spare thought and effort has been going to school work. Avonlea Jane is cutting two teeth right now and has required more attention as well. (Now you know why any calls or e-mails have been unanswered or unmade.)
One of the teeth broke through a couple of weeks ago but has been taking its time. We knew that she would start teething early, but we never expected to see the first tooth bud at 4.5 months. Avonlea Jane has been taking the teething relatively well, but we have an amber teething necklace that has really seemed to help, which I am sure you will see in later photos on the blog.

Avonlea Jane is adorable and getting so big. Those little teeth can hurt. Her first tooth at 5 months, at this rate she will have more teeth than Evelyn. Good luck with graduation...you are one busy mama!!!
