Old Sturbridge Village

Our staycation continued with a day at Old Sturbridge Village with Niccole, Brian, and Violet. OSV is a living history museum about two hours away from Salem, which represents a settlement of about 2,000 people from the 1790s-1830s.

We went during the first week of school and on Homeschool Day at OSV, so it wasn't very crowded at all.

Many of the kids there that day were dressed in period garb. Violet decided to pair her bonnet with the perfect item--a red sequined skirt.

If the buildings weren't original to the settlement in this part of Sturbridge, then they were moved there. All of the buildings were original to the time period, though.
