For only the second time, both children took a nap. Avonlea Jane gave up napping some time ago, and Will had only slept alone for a nap once. I thought it might be a good day to try putting him down for a nap by himself when Avonlea Jane said she would like to sleep with Will. I didn't think it would work, but they happily slept together for an hour. If only this would happen every day and not once every five months.
Avonlea Jane told us she was having a baby named Ellie, after Baby Elias next door. After a few minutes, she said the baby was ready to come out. When we told her she needed to wait nine months, she said, "Maybe I'll just pretend it's an egg and sit on it. That will be a lot easier."
