A Princess Pirate Panto

We loaded up the car with blankets, chairs, and a picnic lunch to go see a Theatre in the Open performance of A Princess Pirate Panto at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. The kids were so excited to see a play just for families.

Listening to the narrator, Billy Bones, telling us that our job as an audience was to cheer the good guys and boo the bad guys

The kids loved the first half of the show and laughed through the whole thing. The intermission with its bubble buffet was almost as fun.

It's definitely a play in Massachusetts when the happy ending depends on a state that allows everyone to get married and a magical fairy saves the day by providing universal health care.
