Welcome to Washington

For the last eight years, I've suffered from aerophobia, which ranged from not being able to look at images of planes, hear them in the sky, or drive by an airport--let alone board a plane. However, after several months of treatment, I successfully flew to Washington to spend two weeks with my baby brother.

An apt find at an Oak Harbor thrift shop

Oak Harbor at 6 a.m.

A great view for a morning run

Dillon's apartment is very close to downtown and the water.

One evening, we went downtown to the seaplane museum, and Dillon showed off his simulator skills.

Whidbey Island is stunning.

We were on the lookout for otters. There were several otter crossing signs.
