Party girl

Avonlea Jane went to her first birthday party this weekend to celebrate our upstairs neighbor Lynda who just turned one. It was interesting to see what is in store for us in ten months. Lynda has been a big help whenever she comes over. We like to see what she gets into in order to make a childproofing list. Some of the things that she is attracted to would have never crossed our minds: namely our wine rack.

It was nice that all we had to do was walk upstairs, because with all of the cold weather, we've been trying to keep indoors. It's been around 19 degrees. Yuck. However, Avonlea Jane seems to like being outdoors no matter the temperature.

After getting home from the birthday party

After Christmas we didn't post any photos of David's big present to Avonlea Jane. He got her a large hand-painted toy chest that we found at an estate sale. We had told people about it but few have seen it. Below is finally a photo of Daddy's gift.
