The beginning of teething and Uncle Jeff

Avonlea Jane is just growing like a weed; she is now over thirteen pounds. She is also moving more and getting plenty of enjoyment from kicking her legs and batting her arms. Avonlea Jane can roll back to side and has started to effectively scoot on her back.

Her aim is much improved and she can grasp things and then hold them in her mouth. She has started putting things in her mouth to chew. After the copious amounts of drool we expected chewing would come soon. We don't give Avonlea Jane standard plastic, and we have wooden, cloth, and rubber teething items but we recently found a teether made out of cornstarch resin that is completely biodegradable! (If you're interested in one for your little one, the brand is Green Sprouts, and we got ours at Crunchy Granola Baby.)

Playing with a scarf during naked baby time.

Being bounced by Daddy and surprised by the flash.
All of our babies lying on the bed.

A new hobby: picking up hems and lifting them to my face.
In other family news, we are so excited that Uncle Jeff now has a page on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) from one of his latest projects My First Tooth! It is a very apt title to mention while Avonlea Jane is teething.
(You can see Jeff's page at: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3234884/ and the film's page and trailer at: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1340598/)
