A new step
Avonlea Jane did something wonderful tonight--what we view as almost as exciting as walking! She very clearly went to the bathroom and immediately started signing "diaper" and wanted to go upstairs to be changed. This realization of what is going on with her body and making her own decisions in regards to it, is the first step of potty learning. Yay! This might seem a little personal, but our joy is so great, we had to share.

That's fantastic! We're still changing Paloma on an every-two-hours schedule since she's prone to diaper rash aaaaand more than content to stew in her own juices (ick). Looking forward to a few months from now, when we're going to introduce the pre-bath potty session.
