At the PEM, participating in their architectural engineering project. He had to choose two design challenges: sustainability (as seen by his reflective solar paneling on the roof) and space flexibility (as seen by the lack of internal walls). He also had to make it to scale, though for better heating efficiency, he lowered his ceilings slightly. He designed and built a Hot and Warn Ice Cream Parlor in the Arctic (thus the lack of cold ice cream, because who wants to eat cold things in the tundra?). For a touch of whimsy, you get from the second to first floor by fire pole. He also got the chance to explain/defend his choices to a pair of real architects.
