Spring Break

This week is my spring break and it has yet to be springy. The start of the week was spent shoveling snow. Thank goodness we have a baby who likes the cold, because she was more than happy to sit bundled in her stroller while Daddy and I shoveled. The snow has melted, but today we had to walk through the rain to storytime at the library. If it can't be spring outside, we decided to dress like spring inside.

Avonlea Jane has been getting more and more verbal and has started experimenting with combining and stretching out different vowel sounds.

Here she is playing with a ball. (Warning: This isn't the most action-packed video.) She's a little upset that she can't get the whole thing in her mouth. At the end she loses interest and wants to know what Mabel is playing with (as all toys are essentially communal). After I stopped filming, she threw the ball toward Mabel who was more than happy to continue playing with it.
