On the way to Georgia

We just got back from a big family vacation on St. Simons Island in Georgia. On the way down we stopped on Thursday for the night in Englewood, New Jersey at Brandy's.

Someone was not all that happy to share her blanket with Will first thing in the morning.

"Try to look pleasant," Mommy said.

After leaving Brandy's, we drove to Camden, New Jersey, which isn't very pleasant to visit now, but it was once the home of Walt Whitman.

After a brief stop to pay our respects to our favorite poet, we were back on our way south on I-95. We committed to driving as far as we were going to drive and then call it quits for the night. We wound up driving farther than we would have liked, as we had to stop and inquire at thirteen different hotels before we found one with a vacancy.

Our next day didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked, as we experienced a blow out in South Carolina. Thankfully, it was as safe and easy of a blow out as we could have had. The spare was unearthed, put on, we were back on the road, had found a tire place, had a new tire put on, and filled up with gas in under an hour.

The kids were in good spirits while they waited for Daddy to finish with the tire. They also got to talk to a police officer who pulled over to check on us and a dad driving a minivan full of a family of six, who pulled over to see if David needed help or if the kids needed snacks or water while we waited.
