Arriving on Saint Simons Island

As soon as we arrived the kids were zipping around the huge rented house, claiming their bunk beds, putting on swim suits (that would remain dry for the evening), and unpacking games. The first one they wanted to play was Headbanz.

Avonlea Jane is phenomenal at this game, as is Uncle Dillon.

After dinner, we experienced a power outage that lasted for the rest of the evening. We were fortunate that the house featured plenty of flashlights.

The next day, Avonlea Jane and Grandpa decided to try their hands at being lyricists.

The pier was pretty calm during the day but packed with fishermen at night. We saw a fair number of them catching sharks in the evening.

Watching dolphins from the beach

The water was silty but very warm.

Go Bulldogs!
