Seeing Savannah

Visiting Savannah was at the top of our to-do list.

The first stop was The Wilkes House, a Savannah favorite since 1943, where all the meals are served family-style in the basement of the family's home.

We had plenty of time for pictures during our two-hour wait to get in. Don't worry, everyone thought it was well worth time spent standing.

We came prepared with supplies.

Coming here was one of our favorite honeymoon memories of being in Savannah in 2006.

The table was covered end to end in fabulous Southern dishes.

"The Waving Girl" Florence Martus greeted every ship coming and going from Savannah Harbor for 44 years.

We ended the day with watching the kids run in a fountain.
